Performance of the students in the continuous evaluation and terminal examinations are considered for promotion. Three terminal examinations are conducted in an academic year. A child should secure a minimum of 40% marks in each subject in continuous evaluation and terminal examinations to earn a promotion. 80% of attendance in an academic year is compulsory for all students for promotion to the next class. Shortage up to 15% may be condoned on medical grounds
