EXAMINATIONS AND PROMOTION
The CBSE has introduced a new system of assessment called Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) up to secondary level of education. It incorporates both scholastic and co- scholastic aspects of evaluation spread over the total span of institutional time. It helps the learners to improve their achievements in scholastic areas and to develop life skills and attitudes with reference to the context and canvas of life.
For convenience, CBSE has divided an academic year into two terms and in each term there will be two Formative Assessments (FAs) and one Summative Assessment (SA). A child should secure a minimum of 40% marks in the CCE to earn a promotion.
| First Term | Second Term | ||||||
| Assessments | FA1 | FA2 | SA1 | FA3 | FA4 | SA2 | Total |
| Marks | 10 | 10 | 30 | 10 | 10 | 30 | 100 |
80% of attendance in an academic year is compulsory for all students for promotion to the next class. Shortage up to 15% may be condoned on medical grounds.
The promotion list of students of classes I-IX and XI will be put up in the school notice board and on the school website in the second week of April 2012. Results of students of class X & XII will be declared by the CBSE.
